Playing simulations

Posted by Miss W. on July 9, 2009

What is a simulation?

After you have played these games, you should be able to tell your teacher what it is.  Play two of these games at least twice each and write a post in your blog about what happened in the game. Completing this activity helps with the checklists for Inquiring 4 and 6

What type of choices did you make?

Were some choices better or worse?

What happened when ….?

Ayiti – family in Haiti

Stop disasters – can take a while to load

Refugees in Sudan – takes a while to load

Third world farmer

Sweatshop – in a shoe sweatshop

Expedition Africa – can take a while to load

Not quite a simulation but interesting historical websites with choices

20th century London

Over the top – in the trenches in WW1 – lots of reading

Check out the reviews from a couple of our grade 9/10 students.
