Mr Davo Devil’s Daylight Saving Dilemma

Posted by Mrs H. on September 19, 2011

Mr Davo Devil left Melbourne for his big adventure at 9.25am, Thursday 15 September. He then arrived in Los Angeles at 6.55am, Thursday 15 September!

Hang on a second! How can you arrive at your destination before you have even left your starting point???

Using your research skills, find out what you can and write a post explaining to Mr Davo Devil how this ‘time travel’ works. All he knows is that it has something to do with timezones, daylight saving and a ‘wriggly line’ on the earth…

Remember to link your post to Mr Davo Devil’s blog so he can read your answers!

The International Date Line is on 180 degrees East/West.

I think most of the US has daylight saving until about the last week of September/first week of October.

    Mrs H,
Thanks for writing a post about this. I also noticed on my laptop that the weather widget has moved ahead one hour compared to the normal time on the laptop.

    Hi Mr Davo Devil,
I have written a post about what tourist attractions you should visit! I hope you have a great trip! I think that this is possible because The time in Melbourne is 17 hours ahead of Las Angeles. So you would have arrived at that time! Thanks Mr Davo Devil,
